Shared Tours

In order to meet the varied expectations of our customers, we offer two pricing options for our shared tours.

Option 1: €200
This package includes the possibility of swimming with the whales and observing them underwater. To swim with the whales, it is essential to be in good physical condition and to be comfortable with the use of snorkeling equipment. In accordance with current regulations, the boat will not be able to approach within 100 m of the whales, so you will need to be able to swim a minimum distance of 100 meters with the whales in order to observe them.

Launches cannot be guaranteed as they depend on weather conditions and whale behavior. The guide and captain will be the sole decision makers as to the feasibility of a launch.

Option 2: €125
This formula is for those who prefer to stay on board and observe the whales from the boat. You will be able to fully enjoy the experience without launching.

Description

French Polynesia is an exceptional destination to discover humpback whales and numerous other marine species in their natural habitat. Every year, these majestic giants of the sea can be found from July to November, and sea excursions to swim alongside them are permitted from July 20th to November 20th. Few places in the world offer such close proximity to these fascinating creatures in their natural environment.

For those who prefer to stay dry, observing from the boat is just as impressive. Our top priority is always the well-being of the marine animals and your safety.

Our experienced guide always assesses weather conditions and the whales' behavior before authorizing water entry to ensure a safe and respectful experience.

Swimming with whales is an open-sea adventure that may require a certain level of physical fitness. You will need to cover long distances (at least 100 meters or 328 feet) to discreetly approach these giants while respecting observation guidelines. It is therefore essential to know how to swim and to feel comfortable using snorkeling equipment: fins, mask, and snorkel.

Come and discover the extraordinary richness of Polynesian marine wildlife for memories that will last a lifetime.

IMPORTANT TO KNOW:

  • We cannot guarantee that you will be able to swim with a whale during your excursion. Indeed, there is no place in the ocean where you can definitely observe whales every day. Each trip is a new adventure and a unique search.

  • Once the whales have been spotted, observation from the boat is essential to assess whether an approach is possible. If weather conditions and the whales' behavior permit, the experience can take place. However, it is the whales who decide to approach, not the other way around.

  • Interaction with these marine giants depends entirely on their natural behavior and sea conditions. If these are not favorable, it may not be possible to enter the water.

  • To fully enjoy this experience, it is essential to be comfortable snorkeling and to be able to swim well. You must enter the water at least 100 meters away from the whales, and approaching them can sometimes require physical effort, depending on the conditions.

  • If some passengers do not wish or are unable to get into the water, observation from the boat remains an excellent alternative, allowing them to contemplate these magnificent creatures in complete safety.

  • Our excursions take place on the high seas, where conditions can be unpredictable. If you are prone to seasickness, we recommend taking the necessary precautions before the excursion to ensure your comfort.

Come and enjoy an authentic and respectful experience, where nature remains the sole master of the show.
